Active Schools Week - Fourth & Fifth Class
Boys and girls in 4th and 5th have been very active the past few days taking part in all the activities for Active Schools Week.
On Monday, we practised our hand passing skills, played a table tennis tournament, completed the skipping and active challenge of "Feet Through Hands" along with lots of fun active biodiversity games with Kate Lavender Duncan.
On Tuesday, we practiced our kicking skills in a penalty shoot out, tried out the "Sit Down Stand Up" active challenge, completed the orienteering course, ran a mile and finished the day off with Kung Fu with Alan. We also put our sporting knowledge to the test in a GAA quiz.
Today we started the class leagues of hurling and gaeilic football, gave the active challenge "Around the World" a go and then went on our school trip to Clonmacken lake to go kayaking. It was a fantastic day with lots of fun and games!
We are looking forward to our Fun Day tomorrow.
