Celery Science Experiment

We conducted an experiment to see how water travels to leaves on a plant or flower. We used celery sticks, water and food colouring to demonstrate this.

The water travels through the celery via little vessels. The food colouring helps us to see where the water goes to. This is similar to the way blood travels around our bodies in our veins.
