The children in 5th class and some children from Suaimhneas 1 and 2 were given the opportunity to take part in the Cycle Right programme. The initiative was funded by an Taisce and Clare County Council with a €5 supplement from parents/guardians of participants. The aim of the Cycle Right Programme in to enhance the cycling skills of the students. Two Cycling facilitators administered the theory section on road safety to the children. Then, all children on the programme were given the opportunity to practice their cycling skills in the school yard. The initiative lasted for four weeks. Well done to all who participated!
