First and Second Class

7th Feb 2023

We have had a very busy few weeks learning many new and different things.

Ms. Moroney was very kind to teach us all about Slopes in Science in which we really enjoyed.

Ms. Clancy also got us to create projects based on Australia as we were learning all about Australia in Geography. The projects created were absolutely fantastic and thank you very much to the parents and children that made such a fantastic effort. We also got a chance to show some of our projects during Assembly in which we got to teach the rest of the school some fun facts about Australia. We also had a little quiz at the end too see who was listening.

We have also really enjoyed getting back and active with the return of Anne for our Fundamental Movement Skills. These skills will really stand to us in many of the sports we play.

Second Class have also been learning about Measure in Maths as we measured many objects around our classroom. We really enjoyed this!

We have also been working really hard at improving our Oral Language as Gaeilge and the children have really improved and love to play cluichí éagsúla as Gaeilge.

We took part in a very enjoyable and informative workshop with SEAI where we learned all about the different ways in which we can promote Sustainable energy in our everyday lives.
