November News from 4th and 5th Class
2nd Dec 2023
We have been very busy in our class during the month of November. Here’s a quick snapshot of what we’ve been doing!
- Fundamental movement skills with Ann focusing on speed, catching and blocking the sliotar.
- Creative School workshop with Paul where we experienced what it was like to work as an artist forming ideas to coming up with a finished product.
- Learning about climate change and tides with David McGrath. He shared some very interesting knowledge about how climate change will affect us at a local level due to rising sea levels and temperatures.
- We’ve been using our iPads in class to test our knowledge of the rivers of Ireland using a quiz app called Kahoot! Some people got very competitive!
- We’ve been having interesting discussions about our Stay Safe theme of bullying in all its different forms; physical, emotional and cyber bullying online.
- We painted some beautiful winter scenes during art class which are on display on the senior corridor.
- We are looking forward to December! We’ve picked our Secret Santa and we’ve set the date of December 18th as the day to have all the gifts in class ready for sharing. 🎅🏻
