Pumpkin Life Cycle STEAM Activity
17th Oct 2021
As part of the Green Schools theme this year, "Global Citizenship Food and Biodiversity" we are going to be learning through observation how a pumpkin changes through the seasons.
We first read the story, "Pumpkin Jack" and learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin. We then set up our STEM activity so that we can observe the phases of decomposition the pumpkin will go through during the autumn and winter months. We hope that after the pumpkin disintegrates into the soil that seedlings will emerge, germinate and sprout in the Spring time.
We look forward to keeping you updated on how our pumpkin is getting on throughout the year.
