Science Week STEM
6th Nov 2020
While we were skipping outside during PE, we could hear the sound of the skipping rope as it cut through the air. It make us think some more about how sound travels. We made simple walkie- talkies from paper cups and string to experiment with how sound travels.
We found that when the string is really straight or taut the sound of a voice will travel along the string and into the other cup. When the line is down or slack, we can’t hear the sound.
We had good fun testing this outside!
